Welcome to the Ovens and Kiewa Veterinary Centre website. The Ovens and Kiewa Veterinary Centre offers services to both small and large animals predominantly within the Alpine and Indigo Shires. Our main practice in Myrtleford is housed in substantially-renovated premises with small animal hospital facilities. Our branch practice is located in the historic town of Beechworth. Both of the practices offer a range of services including preventative and diagnostic medicine and routine surgery. The Myrtleford practice offers more - specialised soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery and small animal hospital facilities for intensive and critical care. We make regular trips, travelling through the Ovens and Kiewa Valleys attending to farm visits and house calls. This service is provided at a low flat rate for travel, making it the most convenient veterinary service in this region. We are available for emergencies out-of-hours and have a vet ‘on duty’ for emergencies 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year. Our practice believes in offering best care to our patients. We are committed to imparting health information and services to our community to ensure that you can make informed decisions regarding your animals’ health. Please browse our website to find out more about the services we offer or call the practice and speak directly to our friendly team who will assist you with any inquiries. Discounted Fees
As a service to our community, we offer a 10% discount on consultation fees for Seniors and Pensioners. George
Hi! I'm George and I'm the Clinic Cat! I became a member of the team in February 2009. I came in as a stray and they liked me so much that they decided that I was just too cute to give away!! So here I am. I meet and greet everyone as they come into the practice and I really love it when I get patted and stroked. If you can give me a liver treat when you come in I would soooo appreciate it because they have put me on a diet and it's just NOT fair!!(ssshhhhhhhh what ever you do don't let them know cause I'll get into trouble!) FarewellRobyn FoaThis month we say a sad goodbye to one of the most longstanding team members of OKVC. Rob was instrumental in the opening of the Beechworth Vet Clinic in 1991 and many of you know her as the face of the OKVC in Beechworth. Rob has actually 'retired' from OKVC twice before but has not succeeded in staying away for very long!. This time, third time around and unfortunately for us, she is adamant retirement is in sight and will now focus on some family time and take the long break that she so deserves. Rob, will still be working as such within her own business 'Beechworth Boarding Kennels and Cattery' and of course still caring 24/7 for the furry critters as a licensed wild life carer. Rob has incredible stamina and dedication.....in fact we all could do with a touch of her energy levels. Rob will be sadly missed by all as an extremely valued team member and friend. We wish her all the best in finding some much deserved quiet time in her life! |
